Overview
China Clay — known mineralogically as kaolin — is a soft, naturally white clay formed by the weathering of feldspathic rock. Its chemical composition is hydrated aluminium silicate, Al₂Si₂O₅(OH)₄, and it is one of the most versatile industrial minerals in use today.
Satellite Chem India supplies both levigated (water-washed) and air-floated china clay. Washing removes quartz, mica and iron-bearing grit to lift brightness and lower abrasion, while air-floated grades offer a cost-effective filler where brightness demands are moderate.
The mineral's platy, plate-like crystal habit is what sets it apart from carbonate fillers: the plates align during coating and moulding to seal porosity, improve sheet gloss and raise the wet and dry strength of ceramic bodies. Supplied in 200 to 500 Mesh, packed in 25 KG, 50 KG and 1 ton jumbo bags.

Ceramics & Sanitaryware
Primary plastic body former for tiles, tableware and sanitaryware — provides green strength in casting slips and fires to a clean white body.
Paper
Filler and coating pigment; the platy particles align on the sheet surface to build gloss, smoothness and ink holdout at lower TiO₂ loadings.
Paints & Coatings
Extender that controls sheen, improves suspension and reinforces the dry film — calcined grades add opacity and replace part of the titanium dioxide.
Rubber
Semi-reinforcing filler improving tear strength, abrasion resistance and extrusion smoothness in tyres, mats and moulded goods.
Plastics & Cables
Improves surface finish and dimensional stability; in wire and cable compounds it raises electrical insulation resistance.
Fibreglass
Source of alumina and silica in E-glass batches, contributing to fibre strength and chemical durability.
Adhesives & Sealants
Rheology modifier and cost-effective extender that controls flow and prevents slump.
Cosmetics & Personal Care
Mild absorbent and opacifier for face masks, powders and cleansing formulations.
