Overview

Calcite is a natural mineral with a high content of calcium and carbonate — its chemical composition is CaCO₃. It is a pure white mineral found naturally in the Aravali valleys in the state of Rajasthan, India, and is one of the premium natural minerals of the country.

Our calcite is highly micronized, closely controlled, white natural calcium carbonate specially developed for paint and allied industries. With a unique particle size distribution from 100 Mesh to 1000 Mesh, it optimizes particle packing and reduces void spaces which are otherwise filled with expensive resins.

We select the best quality lumps from the quarries of the Aravali valleys of Rajasthan and Gujarat and crush them in our own powder manufacturing plant, supplying calcite powder across India and all over the world.

Key Features

  • 96% calcium carbonate content
  • 95% whiteness — pure white mineral
  • 100 Mesh to 1000 Mesh particle size distribution
  • Optimized particle packing, reduced resin demand
  • Mohs hardness 3, specific gravity 2.71
  • Non-explosive and non-inflammable
  • High dispersibility in water, low oil absorption

Applications

Where this mineral goes to work.

01

Paints & Coatings

Extender pigment providing mechanical strength, weather durability and rheological control — coarser particles for matte finishes, sub-2-micron for high-gloss emulsions.

02

Plastics & PVC

Micro-reinforcement boosting impact resistance and dimensional stability; stearic-acid coated grades give uniform bonding and smooth resin flow.

03

Paper

Internal loading filler and external coating pigment improving sheet brightness, opacity and ink receptivity — reducing costly titanium dioxide demand.

04

Glass

Network modifier that lowers melting temperature and viscosity while increasing chemical durability; ultra-low Fe₂O₃ maintains transparency.

05

Ceramics

Primary fluxing agent for tableware, sanitaryware, wall tiles and glazes — reduces thermal expansion and improves structural rigidity.

06

Animal Feed

Coarse grits delivering highly bioavailable elemental calcium (~38–40% Ca) for skeletal development and eggshell structural integrity.

07

Agriculture

Neutralises soil acidity, optimises fertiliser (NPK) uptake and supplies structural calcium to growing plants.

08

Oil & Drilling

Acid-soluble bridging and weighting agent for drilling fluids — sized grades seal the filter cake and control fluid loss, then dissolve cleanly in acid so the producing formation is not permanently damaged.

09

Cosmetics & Oral Care

Oil absorber, opacifier and texturiser for colour cosmetics; controlled rhombohedral morphology makes a mild, enamel-safe toothpaste abrasive.
